I can't offer any help, except to say "WELCOME BACK!"

In the post game there is a new dungeon with a chest containing zeradonal ore.  Get that ore, and then you can get the ship and progress through the game.

OK, I found it--different island, and yes, I can now be on the ship via warp (now in the menu of locations). AND... I defeated a Blue Vortex Dragon on Chaos.  Whew...

Thanks for your help, @Victar--I never would have found it, or beat it, without all your posts.

Deleted--I finally found the right island for the Dead Seas.

I'll let you know how it goes.  On the ship...Oh well, a great surprise!  I didn't know that.  And that's good news that I can even lose to the Vortex Dragon and it might still show up in the catalog..
