That's certainly a well thought out review. I do remember I used a different strategy than MSG Commander and still won, but unfortunately I forgot what I did then.

Just what you did, nothing but Omegadia. Got a little lucky--I think I hit him the last 40 or so times without him using Dark Inferno.

That's more than just a little lucky - that's like Apocalypse hearing that you'd read the walkthrough, and knowing he was doomed from the start, so he just decided to throw the match.

Seriously I had to fight him a good twelve to fifteen times before I finally won (and a couple of those were times when I hit him with 60-80 Omegadia before I died - I was not loving life in that moment...)

Just won! Using this same tactic.

Thankfully, he only used Dark Inferno like 2-3 times. One of those times, he very nearly wiped me out. He took me down to just Ash, thankfully he wasted his turns preparing and casting Alphadia, giving me enough time to res 1417 and shield her.

But once I got everyone back on track, I had no more problems. Used like 30 Hi-Elixirs and 40 Ether Energis, and 10 Hi-Cares.  He used a lot of single target one-KOs and comparatively few -dia spells, which wasn't a problem, just slowed down a little.

I also used Ash, Karim, Wied and 1417. Wied's inherent double strike due to Wind just made grinding too fast so I benched Eclair for him.
