Golden Sun. Ah the memories. I remember my brother giving me that game as gift for my birthday on Gameboy. Boy was the game good. The only thing I regret was not being able to finish it, due to my gameboy being busted and all that.
Never tried Boktai. I'll search about it later.
Alphadia 3DS
You actually should be happy that You never finished the Golden Sun. Thanks to that You still are sane
.
Perhaps You should try playing it again? You probably know, but there were its direct sequel - Lost Age where it starts where the first game ends. And a game for NDS - Dark Dawn (pretty easy!!) in which we control Isaac's son. Worth playing them until the Menace will arrive
.
Boktai series consists of four games, three for GBA and one for NDS. The third one was only released in Japan, and the fourth had its title changed to "Lunar Knights" in the US. It is also a puzzle game with annoying puzzles where we control a vampire hunter Django (and later his brother Sabata) trying to kill vampires and immortals. This game has also strong connections to Mega Man series (namely Mega Man Battle Network, and Mega Man Star Force) as well as a little with Metal Gear Solid (Solid Snake appears in Boktai, and Django's signature weapon Gun Del Sol can be used in MGG4).

Rpg"Insanity". Okay that was a lame pun. Anyways, I'll just get a emu and start playing the game. I only knew about lost age but had no info about dark dawn actually. Then I think I should try the trilogy when I get more time on my hand.
Other than that I'm pretty sure Gun De Sol was also on MGS3 Subsistence. Also there is also a fan translation of Boktai 3, but I seriously do not know how the translation is. Seeing the comments on the site, they did say only minor typos, but overall a good translation. So mant series to look into, such short time XD.

To be honest I don't know how good the translation is. I played it in Japanese and from what I remember the translation at that time was still being made/considered, or not even considered at all. But if You will play Boktai, be sure You will be playing it on emu. The original game requires real sun to play and without it it is extremely difficult (trust me, I beat this game using only Sunny Clogs and it still was nightmarish hard). On emu there were solar patches for each game that allowed You to adjust the sun settings (but then again You better not try to play on max, or otherwise You will be overheated....). So if You will want to play the GBA games, search for sun patches. The Lunar Knights doesn't require any sun to play, and while in the English version it is just a spin-off of the series, the Japanese version actually is more or less connected to the main series.
