How to Change Encounter Rate

Don't be like me and skip reading the Options! Unlike many Kemco games, there is no accessory here that allows you to avoid random encounters, or to have an encounter every step. Instead, in the "options" in the system area, you can dynamically adjust the encounter rate from none to every step, with some increments in between.

Funnily enough, I actually do go to option just so I can turn vibrations off.
