Ok, I've done everything in this game except the third bonus battle with Mave. I really don't want another insane battle - but I just think if I do it, I can say I've done everything for the game. :P

I'm currently around level 77-78. The guide says to face Mave at level 85. I want to be sure of an easy victory, so if I need to grind to 90 or so? I'm willing to do so.

My question is: Is it better to grind in the depths of Shrine of Ishtry, or in the Moon Forest? Should I grind at night for tougher monsters? Is level 85 sufficient for an easy battle, or is that just the level at which you stand a chance of not being annihilated?

I did some experimenting awhile back; fought about 12 battles in Moon Forest and 12 battles in the Shrine of Ishtry depths (and wrote down the battle results).

Shrine of Ishtry (depths) gives roughly 50% more EXP per battle than Moon Forest. So it seems to be the best place for grinding. I've made it all the way to Level 90, but it's taken forever. Now I need to remember to go fight Mave for the third and final time, then I can actually say I've done everything in this game. :P

Haha thanks rimrazan. Though to be honest, I've spent so much time grinding that now I'm tired of Grinsia and don't want to fight Mave anymore. Sigh.

I guess I'll just have to do it though.

You don't have to force yourself to grind and fight Mave. I've grinded in some of the Kemco games too.
And I've grinded till I was burnt out in an action rpg game, I literally took a 6-months long hiatus and went back on super casual basis now.

The lesson here is don't make yourself burnt out from unnecessary excessive grinding. Enjoying the games is more important :)

Well, that was correct islandi, enjoying a game is more important rather than forced themself(oh man what to do now, what kind of kemco should i try to re-do sigh*)

That point is kindaaaaa redundant when you have All of the Exe-Create and Hit-Point games (i'm looking at you justice chronicles) that force you to grind like crazy if you want to experience more of the games.
We don't make mistakes. We just have happy accidents.
