The turn by turn tactics are standard and you will quickly figure them out.
You MUST have Defensive Technique on all your party.
2. You BETTER be at high levels. I don't know how high, but at max the battle will be too easy.
3. You need to protect against Confusion, so have Holy Charm/Confusion Charm on everybody.
I believe there is only one Holy Charm, unless you purchase more from the point shop.
4. Although you can be victorious without protecting against sudden death, you probably want to wear Angel Charms.
5. If you are max level or close, you don't really need any elixirs, etc. However, to be on the safe side,
you might want to win a few battles against Zodigua, the monster in the Lonely Island Shrine, to obtain Ambrosia.
However, you don't need anything more than some fruits and potions (cleansers are optional).
6. There is probably more than one way to fight Bandismor, but I used the cautious defensive method.
I have two characters devoted to healing (they don't do anything but heal, defend, and perhaps use an item),
two hitters, and one character who usually defends but attacks to reduce status from time to time.
It helps to poison Bandismor, and it appears to help to lower his magic attack and magic defense; it
can't hurt to lower his strength, but that isn't critical.
7. The point shop can help, and you will win enough battles to have sufficient points to get the most useful items.
When I replayed the game 3 years later, I did grind to very high levels and easily defeated Bandismor, but that took all the fun out the struggle.
