I've got to the point in this quest where they say he's across the sea but don't know where to go next? I tried the fishing town but no luck.

You mean the legendary person?
Sorry forgot. I only found him on a lone island village after getting the airship.

Ok I've only just passed Cureo castle but am going back to find side quests I missed. So maybe I haven't opened his next location yet.

Your at Cureo Castle? Have you been to the castle where there is a scene where Citizens are throwing you out of the castle.
That castle also gives you a hint to that side quest.

No I haven't made it that far. I just met the Earth god who's obsessed with Aulin's, um, appearance? (Honestly they could have left that out, but I guess it's not as bad as Blood of Calamity)
I'm just about to go through the mountain path south of Cureo (don't remember the name)

Al Aldo, then you have yet to go through the castle.
Also I found that quite funny, well it wasn't distasteful like Blood of Calamity.

Well I did like Bell's comment:
"Switch with me! Switch with me!"
That did make me laugh.
So it wasn't horrible, but it doesn't really
add to the game, in my opinion. Not bad so much as just really random.

Bell is all about random. Just wait what she does in the most serious moments.

Okay, the next location is Chasmus (the bishop in the church, in case anyone else ever needs to know)
I just got here after almost losing my way and rage quitting in the El Aldo forest (oh, I loathe that place...

)
I know there's at least half a dozen little caves I didn't even explore, and treasures I went right past, 'cause I just wanted to find the EXIT! :silly:

But now it's all good. Someday I'll go back through and make a map of that location.

The only thing bad about al Aldo was its Dinosaur Monsters, The Lion Type Monsters, and the huge terrain of endless openings and exits.
Also the next clue of the legendary guy can be found in Chasmus Castle.
