I just bought this game a few days after refunding Asdivine Dios and I did not expect to like it as much as I do. I was wary when I saw the battle system looked like Alphadia Genesis's but this one is more enjoyable.
I love the transformations & the dialogue between the characters is pretty funny to me. The storyline is interesting too; Dr. Moreau looks almost exactly like Heiss from the DS game Radiant Historia.
Depending on how my stats are by the enf, I may play all the way to the true end instead of stopping at the normal end.
This Game Is An Unexpected Delight
I have a love/hate relationship with this game. On one hand, this is my hardest Kemco game by far with final boss fight that lasted for >1 hour due to my underleveled party. I hate that dragged out fight.
On the other hand, once I finished this game and a few other Kemco games, I realized I somehow missed the fear from back then. This game had permanent swoon, something that I've yet to encounter again.
Revenant Saga is the only Kemco game so far where I couldn't predict the ending of a boss battle with 100% certainty. Once I fought a boss with only 2 character since I need to maximize Albert's damage from his counterattack (2 chars means Albert getting attacked twice as often compared to 4 chars). It was totally crazy, a slight misjudgment and I'm done.

Dr. Moreau most likely is a nod to Dr. Moreau from H. G. Wells' book called "The Island of Dr. Moreau". There, Dr. Moreau tried to turn animals into humans, so something similar what RS's Dr. Moreau tried to do to (from what I read in the review). But yeah, comparing him to Heiss, it looks as if that two people actually were the same man (though Heiss had a longer nose).
Just beat the game and got the normal ending. I don't think I care enough about the post game to go for the true ending, especially since the final dungeon in the main storyline was rather long. Also, my characters are in the upper 50's and the demons in Perdition are tough; they killed Esther in two hits.
I did enjoy this game though; it was a nice way to pass the time while I wait for Suidoken Teirkreis to come in the mail. It's still not here yet, but I still have The World Ends With You on my tablet to pass the time.
