This game really amazed me with its pokemon principle. on the contrary to most of kemco games, here, you collect monsters, make them evolve and participate to a championship. behind the scene an evil power is waiting to rise.

the game begins in force with a small tutorial where you realized how fragile is the hero and how much he must rely on his monsters. i had some difficulties to finish it due to Mattie dying easily. the levels are not always the solution for him but it helps. for the monsters it is mandatory on the contrary.

having all the elements battling at each other is not original but seeing it with a "rpg maker" engine like is different story. the gameplay is deep and requires lots of attention. you would think to give HP and stamina to Mattie but you need to feed the "summoning points" otherwise it will be impossible to summon multiple types of monsters. the number of MP is also very important as it determines you capabilities to "spam" with "happy" the local "pikachu".

speaking of which, if you want to summon, you need to have it in your pocket and also to have the correct ring to place the monster in it. Happy makes a fine work at the beginning but once spamming becomes not enough you will need to think to better solution. this is where the game is not regular with the player. normally the seven beasts would be a good bet but they are not. they die quickly. i quickly cameto "big eye" and stick to it until theend of the game with happy in support and training some other creatures to have at least one leader by elements.

fact is that to finish the game, Teppe'ai (big eye evolution) and Dark Unies were the solution for me. However, looking at the youtube video with windgul proves that other beast can do the trick. the main problem is that when happy evolves, it costs a lot more and it becomes impossible to summon 10 happy for support of big eye. the engine is also limited because no more than 4 big eye (or same kind of monsters aside of happy basic form) can happen. otherwise the fifth one will make an old one disappear (and sometimes it is the fourth one which kills an old one).

the main issue in the game is the money. yes the hero is crazy about it but he is damn right. to gain money you'll have to search for the very very hidden side quests. after that, i was able to buy some skills (focused arrow, heal etc...). the game is also very difficult and the item magicovelocity which regenerate the MP and the spell braver are available only by IAP whichis lame (pay to win rpg ?).

finishing the last boss is really a matter of time because even witht he powerful beasts, the damage is low. dark unies launch blizzard which is not a problem for the last boss except for critical attack (focused arrow). this is where teppe'ai saved me by hitting th boss hardly. it is very important to farm the element stones and to choose carefully the evolution because you won't be able to evolve all of them unless you spent 100h or more.

overall it took 16h40 to see the end of the game but the post game is impossible for me. i have yet to max out the level 50 for dark unies and teppei and see if they can evolve a third time because they are seriously under leveled compared to the ennemies. happy at least can evolve a third time so i suppose other beasts can (even if happy is very special). i am pretty sure that if i give go for the post game, i can arrive to 30h because of the difficulties and all the tournament and mission 22 to finish (an ultimate boss in it no ?).

overall i liked very much this game despite the difficulties and clearly, not having it under android 9 is an issue. if you bought it in the past you did good because i can't find it easily on the google store. it works great as for band of monster (which seems to be the upgrade version with a master who can attack and with better graphics). once again, hit point proves they are the most original in term of games.
Android is unique

Yo i just beat this game and done with the post game with 28hrs of playtime. I also don't have Magicovelocity, so it's not necessary. For money i usually sell unnecessary Jewels from monster drops. While you need them for evolution i ended up with too much of them. Also postgame Arenas gives you Jewels and SSP(IAP currency) if you manage to beat them. And you can do it over and over again and sell the Jewels for money.

Preliminary yields 3 Jewels & 1 SSP, Main yields 5 Jewels & 2 SSP and Finals 10 Jewels & 3 SSP. Best place to grind probably the Forne Area because the enemies are weak and it's very easy to get enemy summoner cornered. After beating all Arenas, Summoner Rex is available and it yields 5 SSP & Golden Ring and can be done multiple times. I managed to beat it once but refused to do it again. So frustrating. (Golden Ring seems to be a one time reward. It's a ring with 100 cost limit and 15% bonus to monster from any element.)

Edit: Subsequent Summoner Rex yields 10 White Jewels and 5 SSP. White Jewel is harder to get than others. But considering this Arena is really annoying might as well do the other Arenas and use 20 SSP to buy them.

Also monster's type has an effect to how they use their skill. I made the mistake of raising a Defense type as an attacker and i noticed that it very rarely used it's offensive skill, whereas Attack type monsters would spam equipped offensive skill whenever possible. I assume defense type would be more active in using Healing and support skills.

There's also a New Game Plus system in this game. After defeating the game you can revisit Dream World dungeon. At the end there's a Magic Circle. Interact with it and the game will start over but with everything intact. I think this is the only way to get another copy of the Sacred Beasts.

Also i found that after evolution-ing a monster, go outside then load the game. That monster will be recorded in the Index. This is a good way to fill the Dex without using Jewels for evolution.

What an ass...
