Tactics to Defeat the Final Boss ("Extra Dungeon")
I didn't use any of the "specials" (SP) in the normal game (that is, prior to entering the "extra dungeon"). I beat the bosses with high levels, magic, skills, and consumables.

But that tactic doesn't work against the huge HP bosses in the "extra dungeon." The next to last boss, a Neo Azatoth, has one part at 411,000 HP, another at 411,000, a third at 411,000, and a core at 629,000. (I may have one extra 411,000 in there, not sure). AND...after you defeat that one, with no pause, the core returns to life and you face it again. Chipping away a few thousand at a time, even with the powerful magic, just can't get the job done. Don't waste a turn attacking with anything other than a special. I relied on 3 healers/buffers and two big hitters. I had Alicia with her two turns in the back row feeding TP consumables to two front row tanks. My third healer I put in the front row to draw fire away from the tanks, and the third healer in the back row. If I could spare a turn for Alicia, she attacked with her SP.

You will need plenty of elixirs (easy to farm in the "extra dungeon") or x-herb (also easy to farm) and all the Wing of Life you can get (which isn't many). Every TP recharger you can find, first aid (easy to get--first aid followed by elixir or x-herb). Be as fast as you can, and if Alicia is the fastest in your party that helps. Attack that first head when it comes out, leave the rear "death" head until the very end, as it causes the least damage. Your tanks need to hit very, very hard (36,000-100k+).

I'm not sure if the debuffs work, but I used them. Protect your party first, rather than lowering the monsters--you can't attack if you are dead. Max your speed, etc. It will be a struggle, and you will burn a mountain of resources (go in with 99 of the important ones!!). You will need to restore MP a few times (Heal All 2 for Alicia, and at least one other member with Heal All or Heal All 2). Keep Alicia ALIVE as her two turns are critical. Use the consumables to heal single members rather than using MP.

If you have the points, get Miracle Gum from the IAP shop--all you can buy. You probably will need some of these.

I probably missed a better strategy, as I only got "C" awards for all the big bosses in the "Extra Dungeon."

Thanks for the advice!

Fun fact - Azatoth and Neo Azatoth are very likely inspired by the fictional supreme deity Azathoth from H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos novels and stories.

I defeated Neo Azatoth on the Switch version of Silver Nornir. Console versions appear to make farming Shop currency easier. I abused this to buy lots of stuff from the Shop, including accessories that block instant death and accessories that block bad status. I'm certain Neo Azatoth tried either bad status attacks or instant death attacks on my party because "Miss!" occasionally popped up on his turn.

Neo Azatoth doesn't require excessive gold medal farming or maxed-out stats to beat, but he hits hard and is a massive damage sponge.

The party will easily reach the maximum level of 150 before they get enough Orihalcum to fully upgrade their gear. Neo Azatoth probably doesn't require every last piece of gear to be +9, but at the very least the party members who will attack with Special combos should raise their weapons to +9, and everyone should raise their main armor to +9. I maxed out every piece of armor on my team to +9 and the weaker members still got hit hard or occasionally KO'd.

Strong consumables are a must. They're needed to restore HP, MP, and especially TP, which is why 150 TP Miracle Gum from the Shop is so good. A decent stock of revive-from-KO-with-full-health items is wise, too.

Buffs and debuffs are vital to staying alive and maximizing damage - except for the Luck buff/debuff. I think Luck can be safely ignored. The Magic Def buff (water), Physical Def buff (earth) and Speed buff (wind) are the most valuable. Debuffing Neo Azatoth is worth the effort, staring with a Magic Attack debuff (dark), Physical Attack debuff (fire), and Speed debuff (wind).

I used multiple-element gems on each party member. That way, any character could cast several types of buff or debuff. Also, the multiple-element gems don't inflict any stat penalties when equipped.

I had Wind magic on every character, since in addition to Speed buffs and debuffs, wind magic grants the Uranus spell that allows any character to give their turn to another. Raising all these gems to the max level of 10 took a little time, but far less than the time needed to grind gold (or shop currency) for Orihalcum.

Alicia is the one character that needs to be used because she gets extra turns. I used Ein and Elena because Ein, Elena, and Alicia combined have a Special Attack that hits all enemies extremely hard (although it costs 150 TP and 300 MP from each of them - this is why restorative items are so important). I recommend against using frail, easily-KO'd characters like Abyss.

Neo Azatoth Core likes to use Dark Breath, which hits the whole party quite hard. I believe Yohan learns a spell that grants an individual party member darkness resistance for the entire battle. I also recommend setting up multiple characters with a spell that heals the whole party, since there are no items that heal more than one party member.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and strategies. As you said, the non-smartphone versions give premium currency out more generously, which makes it comparatively easy to max out all party members' stats by buying "Gold Medals" (stats like "Attack" are weirdly capped at 2550, by the way).

By utilizing a party with maxed stats (especially maxed "Speed") and max-upgraded equipment, it's possible to defeat the final main storyline boss and the optional superboss without them ever getting a turn. The downside: If these bosses are defeated that way, that means they haven't spawned their "body parts", and if they haven't spawned, they won't appear in the bestiary afterwards - one of the many design quirks of this mediocre (but still enjoyable) game.
