I hope you guys still working or fixing this site because this is only the site we KEMCO fans are able to go to look for info.

It seems like there's an issue here based on the Admin of the Site, Hello sir, MSG Commander, and fellow members.

Technically, I forgot what day or year I made this account, or maybe just around this year but I have already seen this site many times before. I don't know why I didn't join here.

I'd been a fan since 2014. I was only a kid during that days. KEMCO RPGs are my first JRPG's.

Also, fellow members, it's just sad that some KEMCO games are going to deleted from the market.

Chrome Wolf, Alphadia 2, and some magitec and worldwide software were gone in the Philippines google play store market.

Anyway, is there someone know what font they use in making the title of Asdivine and Alphadia? Font is cool and want to use it for personal goals :)

Hi Rain,

MSG Commander here. I'm not sure what issue you're referring to (unless it's the fact that I'm personally not active on the site anymore?) But I do know a lot of people value this site and the information everyone shares, and I do plan on keeping it up for the foreseeable future.

As to Kemco games being removed from the market, well, you'd have to take that up directly with Kemco. We are, after all, only a fan site. :-)

Yes, I'm sorry for some parts because I'm still bad at English and grammar.

It's just sad that the sad was lately dying since some people in Social Media was always gatekeeping KEMCO when there's a topic about it.

This is a great site for fans and it's also made by fans which is make it cool.

I'm also gathering info here before, checking up the member's comment and some hidden gems that KEMCO keeps exclusively in Japan.

Thanks for the answer, Sir.

I hope you guys fix the site issue :)

That would be more Google Play policy changes than Kemco.

Google Play revises their policies every 2~3 months (based on how often I receive "YOU MUST REVIEW YOUR APPS" emails...). Besides this, an app can only be updated if it supports the latest stable version of Android SDK (Android 11 since August 2021).

This means that when e.g. Android 10 changed storage access rules, Kemco would have to update their apps so it would support the new storage rules. However, in order to push this fix, they need to support the whole SDK (which means, not using compatibility mode). This means fixing all deprecation warnings, updating the package format from APK to AAB (Google Play no longer accepts APK uploads), and in some cases it might involve rewriting some components.

Now, Kemco is a publisher, not a developer. How will Kemco upgrade a whole Magitec or World Wide Software game, specially considering these studios pretty much no longer develop Android games, much less with Kemco?

So it is inevitable that as new Android versions are released and Kemco becomes unable to comply with Google Play policies, they end up with the only option of removing the app. I don't even know if Kemco ever had the source code, to begin with; Without that, even if they wished to keep the game, they wouldn't be able to.

Off-Topic: This website do have some occasional issues with mass spam. Staff has to remove spam manually, while bots post spam automatically. Once, there was more spam than staff to handle that, which is when MSG Commander deleted a few hundred of accounts, removed some less used features, etc.

It is not exactly "RPG Insanity is being abandoned", but "RPG Insanity has only so much staff, while spammers have an infinite number of spambots at their disposal, so we had to make some sacrifices as we will never have an infinite amount of staff at our disposal". I think this is what you were talking about? Excuse me if I am wrong :-)

Sorry if you think that what I said is like "RPG Insanity site is being abandoned", I'm still bad at English.

Pardon.

Yes, maybe I was wrong about my grammar in some parts, I understand the site situation since I was doing backread and see that there's an issue going on before here that cause the sacrifices.

About KEMCO, yes, I have contacted them and explained about the loss of some games, but it's just for me, it's just sad since I was a fan back in 2014 (and maybe some guys here are already a fan before and they feel the same too) and yes, I know that KEMCO is only the publisher since there are around 4 developers they have, MAGITEC, EXE-CREATE, HIT-POINT, and WORLDWIDE SOFTWARE that making great games. I found a site about a leak of remakes of oldies release but maybe it's just fan ideas that created that site but I'm still hoping for some remakes since they remake, Lost Dragon and Asdivine Saga.

Ohh... I didn't know about these policies, thanks for the info, by the way. I only know is that because of the release of a modern version of android they stop distributing since some are released around the 2013 era.

Thanks for your responses, both JesusSalva and MSG Commander.

I remember that time and hope it won't happen anymore. For the entirety of the time spent deleting all these messages (approximately 1 in 7s due to site loading slowly at that time) bots were sending another message. That loop took at least an hour for me to remove all these messages. Thankfully, @msg-commander fixed this one day.

I doubt I'd have persistence and patience to do exactly same thing for hours if it happened again.. but would have to do it.

Yeah hopefully that'll never happen again. I do get email notifications now whenever a post gets reported (I'd set it up to go to a different email before, and one I don't check regularly), and when I get those notifications I do try to reply within a few hours.

I'm still debating using some sort of math captcha for every time anybody wants to post in the forum, as that would probably decrease spam a bit more... but the drawback is that then everyone would have to solve a captcha every time they wanted to post anything. So I don't want to do that unless the situation ever gets out of hand again.

My main issue with captcha is sometimes they don't work, or stop working, and then nothing can be posted/emailed/whatever at all. It can happen if whatever company in control of the captcha stops updating their software, goes out of business, changes hands, etc.

My thanks to everyone involved in removing spam posts. Also, whatever tweaks have been made to discourage spam private messages seem to be working? Haven't had one of those in a long time.
