Well, I'm gonna turn this topic into an all-purpose "here's what just went wrong" :p

I (as the site owner) just got an error message after editing one of my own replies. I was able to select an option to ignore that message and allow the edit to happen anyway - but if anybody else gets that same error, they most likely won't have the option to select "ignore this message and continue anyway" (not the exact wording, but you get the idea).

I happen to know that this resulted from a plugin I recently added, so if it happens again or if it happens to anyone else, I'll need to look into adjusting or removing that plugin.

On a similar note: I've had a few users tell me that their message is rejected, and no reason is given. If this happens, it's usually because there's added HTML or BBCode in your reply that is not supported by the forum software. (In a case like this, the error message *should* say that code isn't supported, but it doesn't.)

So if you've formatted a reply using HTML or BBcode, and if the reply won't go through, try removing the code and re-submit. If it still doesn't go through, feel free to post about it here and I'll try to help you resolve the problem.
