There's also a battle arena in Estrella, that seems to have all the same battles as the one in Yaupon (I don't know for sure because I've only done the Bronze Cup Easy battle)

Just wait a bit, Azyleo, and you'll start to encounter metal enemies. :cheer:

That 30 gem isn't going to help honestly. Even from early on in the game, many metal monsters have more than that much raw HP. When you first get to the Estrella X island by boat I think those ones have around 180 hp.

Best option, BY FAR, which you can get early if you've been careful with how you preserve your weapons as you play and haven't dumped your Attack All ones. Get this combo of stuff on as many characters as possible:
-Attack-All weapon for normal attacks
-Critical Hit boost
-Acceleration Ring

That's literally it right there. Normal attack critical hits get past the metal hyper defense completely, and given their super low raw HP numbers even with a massive level difference you should crush them. If you're careful with collecting all the blue chests as you play, by the time you're first playing through Estrella and get the boat you should have at least 2 acceleration rings and an attack-all weapon for Noelle, and I think Izayoi gets one during one of the quests there too. If you've been carefully preserving weapon stocks with Crit and not just burning them for upgrading without getting the crit effect, you could start grinding the Estrella metal island by as low as level 30 and getting kills; you should also have at least one Encounter ring by that point to make the fight frequency faster.

As low as level 30, huh? I have an encounter ring, an acceleration ring, two attack-all weapons, and one weapon with a Crit boost. I’m somewhere around lvl. 50. And still I get totally owned by metal monsters...

At what difficulty are you playing? Start at Easy, and then slowly move to a higher one.

Also, often there are two Metal Regions in the game. One for low levels, and one for hight levels. Make sure you're trying the low levels one.

I’m on easy, though I sorta want to change it to normal.

I found out that it's better to play on easy to corca lvl 500, and then switch to normal. Higher difficulty levels will make the metal enemies too strong to beat (especially if you are unlucky and behemots will appear).
