I beat guild hero normally (without gold rush (it's not actually a cheap strategy, it's expensive lmao)) around level 250 with my characters weapon all have 3 damage redux of around 25% each and a status evade on the last slot plus anchor ring-a on leon and julie so that they wont be affected by abnormal status. And then after surviving the initial onslaught, it's just a matter of browbeating him while using julie as a support to heal and remove abnormal statuses and using a lot of ethers. Took a long time though. Around 30 min of battle with the effects turned on.

Yep, that sounds just like Apocalypse at the end of Alphadia. I'm glad we finally got another insane bonus boss.

Question: What difficulty did you fight him on?

I tried normal and almost beat him down to around 10% to 15% after almost an hour and got unlucky on the aoe abnormal status. With all characters equipped with almot 75% ailment prevention, not one kicked in, so I tried in easy and it feels like a normal random encounter with mega mobs.

Impressive idea! Must have taken some work to break all those weapons to get the necessary ores. That's some long long battle---CONGRATS!!

Thanks. It was a really tiring battle and I have to do it twice coz I failed the 1st one. But battle aside, I've been collecting ores since the start of the game so I just used my ore stocks. I've reloaded so many times that I can break and reload the game while blindfolded. Lol.

Also I would recommend for other starting players to start collecting ores especially Ironwall and Blessing coz these are especially useful in the higher level Est dungeon. And they are a pain to break as their rate to get is so low that I got frustrated one time I just sold all weapons. It's better to break them as soon as you get them coz collecting them and breaking them all at once will consume hours of reloading the game when you fail to get them.

Here's a way to beat Guild Hero in Hell diff (I'm at level 800+ when i beat him). Although I don;t recommend it as it takes a lot of time to set it up.

You'll need 8 ironwall ores and 8 blessings ore for your weapons. 4 angel gems and 4 anchor ring A.

Attach 2 ironwall and 2 blessings in each of your weapon and make sure you get at least a total of 50% damage reduction and 50% evasion for abnormal status. Next equip each character with an angel gem and an anchor ring. You wont get a lot of turns here (2 to 3 enemy turns before you have a chance to act, so making Fleon cast and recast beast dance is a waste of turn). Iron wall ores will let you stand up to the 3 turn onslaught guild hero have and the blessings ore and anchor ring will give you a total of 100% abnormal status resist while healing 20% of your max hp if his status effects ability misses.

On his first turn, when he uses final inferno, your HP will be reduced to 1, but because of your 100% status evade and angel ring, you instantly gain 20% of your life and have at least 10k hp each. Now this is where iron wall kicks in where it will reduce all his damage so you can survive his next 2 turns. On your 1st turn, cast Reincanate with Lilith just to be sure, Hi heal all with Julie, and your highest damaging attacks with Fleon and Caine. You can use gold rush if you ever have the gold.

Guild heros turn up to your turn is the critical turns. You have to make sure everyone survives. If he focuses on one of your characters and dies, reload the game as you will need each character. But once you survive this, I'ts almost impossible to kill your characters now. Just recast Reincarnate with Lilith when someone in your party dies or if not, use Quick Sabre to speed up your turns or Sp Drain to refill your SP. For Julie, Just cast Hi Heall All each turn or if you feel like you can survive Guild heros next 2 to 3 turns, you can cast Guardians for added speed and def. With Caine and Fleon, just keep casting your most destructive spells. I used Soul Blade for Caine for a chance to burst and of course, Gold Rush for Fleon.

Keep this strategy up and you will eventually beat Guild Hero on Hell diff. Of course this strategy also works with lower diff.

Fantastic! I can understand the effort needed to get the proper ores (you must have become world class at weapon breaking!!), but it boggles my mind to think about 800+level. That's even better than beating the Guild Hero on Hell! Congratulations on everything you shared with us.

Actually, reaching lvl 800 is fairly easy. Just craft a weapon with mega enemy encounters. Make sure they total to 100% so every encounter is a mega enemy. At level 300, just go to hell level est with hell difficulty (yes, it's hell difficulty setting). Mega enemies there are level 100. But you can easily beat them with normal attacks. At est level 1 to 10, they give around 300k exp (at level 300, it takes only 2 normal hits to defeat them). At est level 40 to 50, they give around 700k exp.

I usually make sure to level at least 5 levels per floor before i go up another floor. so it looks like this.

and so on and so forth.

At this rate, you get to level up once per two encounters. And if you have 2 sage ores equipped, you get to level up once or twice per encounter. And if you need gold for gold rush, Just equip a weapon with mini encounter rate up with total of 100% and use the scythe skill of lilith (the one with 9 to 15 hits and targets all enemies. At est level 40, mini enemies give around 300k gold. and with using liliths scythe skill, you get to overkill them and gives a bonus of 100k gold for a total of 400k gold each. of course, the higher est you are the more exp you get and gold.Attachments:ESTleveling.png

Well that's a nice and clean explanation on how to beat the guild hero.
I think the strategy is legit enough to be posted in the walkthrough section.
