Ok, I don't know a lot about this place yet, but just to get it started:

This is the area you can enter the "bonus" dungeons to farm weapons. In each town, there's a vortex that takes you to the base:

There are four dungeons: Easy, Normal, Hard and Hell

Each dungeon is randomly generated, so every time you enter it will be different. You can find weapons in the dungeons that (I believe) you can't find anywhere else in the game. However, you can only bring one weapon back with you, and that only if you survive the dungeon.

When you enter the dungeon, the entrance is blocked or closed or disappears, so the only way out is to get to the end.

There are "couriers" in the dungeon. If you find a courier, you can give them a weapon to bring back to the "base" for you. (But again, I think you have to beat the dungeon to claim these weapons.)

If you die in the dungeon, all the items/weapons you've found are lost.

Easy dungeon recommended level is 15. Also, the entrance fee is 500 Gold (I'm not sure but this is probably for each time you enter the dungeon.)

You have to beat Easy before Normal, and so on all the way to Hell.

(I'm currently Lv14, so I will be trying the Easy dungeon soon, and will post more.)Attachments:Screenshot_2016-02-04-16-24-53.jpgScreenshot_2016-02-04-16-27-12.jpg

First Run through the Dungeon.

Level One seems to be only Prana Slug, Prana Fish, and Prana Horn (and sometimes I run into Mega Prana Slug, which I just run from lol.) Random encounters are just the same as in other dungeons. You kill the monsters, you get EXP, Gold, Drops etc.

There are "Spirit chests" in the dungeon. So far I've found a lot of Giga Ether x2.

Somewhere on each level there's a sigil that will let you "Explore Further" or return to base. If you return to base, you get to keep all the loot you've found up to that point. If you explore further, you go to the next floor.

Also ran into this guy on the First Floor:

Don't know if he's the only medic for the whole dungeon, or the only medic for the first floor.

BTW I'm running the dungeon on Normal, at Lv19, and as long as I run from the Mega Slugs, I'm not having any problems on the First Floor.

EDIT: Also, you can Save your game whilst in the dungeon, which is a good thing if you think you're going to die or if you just need a break but want to come back to it later. B)

(I believe that if you die, you get "kicked out," but if you've Saved then you can just reload and try again to beat the dungeon.)Attachments:Screenshot_2016-02-04-21-09-22.jpg

And for me it is just like Boktai, except that we don't have to search for keys to open door to the next floor.

A few more goodies....

This is what the sigil looks like:

Courier:

Desk where you pick up weapons you've given to the Courier:

Plus this little tidbit:

Also, I found an "unappraised weapon," but apparently you're supposed to find someone in the dungeon to appraise it, or else when you leave the dungeon (like I did) you lose the weapon:

And this is what the Appraiser looks like:

So, you have to first find an unappraised weapon, then find the Appraiser, then you have two choices:

1. Exit the dungeon with only that one weapon

2. Find a Courier to take the weapon back for you, and then continue exploring the dungeon.

But - IF you leave the dungeon without getting the weapon appraised - you will LOSE the weapon forever! (I know, because I accidentally did just that.) :lol:Attachments:Screenshot_2016-02-04-22-18-32.jpg

Can you post a ss of battles and menu and such. I'm starting to get interested. Also, is the story interesting?

Yeah, do you want ss for just the Est dungeon? Or for the game in general?

So far I like the story. The only thing is they seem to reveal all the bad guys, and their secret plans, within the first few hours (unless there are more suprises to come.)

This particular thread is just for the bonus dungeon, but I do have a "Basics" thread where I can post general screen shots when I'm done exploring the bonus dungeon. I might not get to that until tomorrow though (it's starting to get late here...) but if someone else wants to put up some pics, that could be helpful as well.
