Sooo... finally got around to getting Asdivine Cross. This site has a section for it, so I thought I'd come reread the walkthrough. Still, I haven't seen anyone ask this (yet), so I may as well ask it...
People who've played this already, anything you wish you knew before playing Asdivine Cross?

Some things that I wish I knew.
A. That cross is a remake of the 1st Asdivine game.
B. As the game goes on, things get really unbalanced with beat combos doing stupid damage at times.
C. Lucile can tank most attacks with the right setup(don't have my 3ds right now).
D. To get the true ending, you have to beat the game twice with some added/extended scenes on the 2nd playthrough.

Lucille has a trick that you can use to defeat the metal bats on the island at the centre of the map. You need to use the skill that turns all damage received into healing + a taunt skill to make all the bats target you. The bats will use Suction and instead of draining your HP to heal theirs, the bats lose HP and give you their HP.
In other words, Lucille can make bats kill themselves as long as she goes first and uses the Damage=healing skill. Do that enough times until battle shortcut kicks in and then you can bring Harvey, Amelia, and Olivia to Lv.999

We don't make mistakes. We just have happy accidents.
This apply not just to this game, but to each game that allows gathering skills - try to get the (mass) reviving skill as fast as possible. Allow a character to be killed, use the revival skill and finish the fight. The reason for "as fast as possible" is that later on your characters will have thousands of HP, and they simply won't want to die, and so you will be unable to revive them and register the skill. So do that while they still can die.
