Not a bad game at all. It's a very ExeCreate RPG. The story is different. Several deceased samurai have been resurrected (not zombies) in order to help the evil Dystopians conquer Japan. But several of them decline to help, and then, band together to fight for peace. Did I mention the characters are based on real Japanese historical figures? Kinda cool.

The game has the usual magic, arts, and subquests. The less common, but hardly rare "distribute stat points at level-up." I've never been a big fan of distributing stat points (ack! what if I pick wrong?!!) but it's here. I shall deal. :side: There's a 'Leadership' stat that determines initiating/participating in combos that might have been interesting to figure out. Dungeons, of course (with heal point, yeah!). The world map is different. Movement isn't totally free. Roads (colored lines) connect locations. The narrative says it is important to keep these roads blue (the peaceful color). To do so, you battle enemies to clear out the riffraff. So far, so good.

The trial ends with the party in an area filled with pools (more like ponds) of blood from the victims of a sumarai-gone-crazy. Want to buy the full version? Me too. Go ahead and try. It's broken. And from reading the reviews, it's been broken for a couple of years. Really, ExeCreate? Really?! :S :pinch:

P.S. I suspect this game might have mature themes like Unlucky Hero. The sister and brother have an unnatural affection for each other. The sister refers to him as her one and only. (Also see "pools of blood" reference above.)
