Got boat. Found island with enemies that level 22 me could handle but they'd TPK me if I didn't kill them in the first turn. From the shore to the dungeon between the backwards-C-shaped mountains I gained 11 levels. Then while searching the (extremely huge) dungeon for loot and activating teleporters I got to level 65.

Leave dungeon with the teleporters activated for when I actually need to go there and now am unstoppable. *sigh*

Wow. Can you post a screenshot of the map, circling the exact places you were grinding?

I can't post a screenshot for a long time so you get manual directions. It's called the Brutokal Ruins. If you bring up the World Map and look at the letter W in the title at the top, it's the northernmost island under the letters Wor in World. It's best to enter from the west, otherwise, you'll need to walk around cliffs.

Just save after every battle and go all out. If going all out won't win you the fight then you're still a bit too early.

The treasure is mostly stat ups, lots of throwing items and I think there were some skill books. Sadly no equipment. The usual reason to do this trick in an RPG is to raid chests and get your hands on late-game equipment early on.

I just went to the place that has all the gargoyle monsters you can avoid

The area that's south west of the elf city

I just avoided all the monsters and looted the chests then left and went to the nearby town where they sell the game's strongest gear

I sold the loot and bought some postgame weapons and got loads of lottery tickets

With the tickets I got all the pets and the Apollo Armor and stuff

I then switched to easy difficulty and kept going all out against the nearby monsters to level up

When I had enough I left to go back to the story and switched to expert difficulty so that I got loads of job points from every fight

With followers I trained them all at being yards and dancers for the regen auto-skills then trained jobs as normal

So technically I beat the game right after getting the final teammate

I wonder why I never read this.

I remember my only playthrough of this game being just at the level you learn Absolute Zero. The thing is, it works both in Dragon Sinker AND Lapis (didn't get to play any games related to those two.)

Absolute Zero has enough power to 1-shot seemingly impossible enemies if you get a hit before the enemies (note, it only works on enemies KEMCO didn't think should have more than 200hp for) but that alone can break the game. Most games have hp scaled up each level up, this series had wrong approach, so breaking the game early was not too hard.
