Somehow I completely missed this, but last month Final Fantasy 9 was released on Google Play (and I presume on ITunes). $20.99 price tag, game is at least 3 gigs.
Apparently some people have issues with it not loading or taking DAYS to download, just to find out they don't have enough memory. I do not know if this is user error or square Enix error.
It looks like they're also planning a Steam version for "early 2016," whatever that means.
I don't think I ever played this when it first came out. I love 3-7, played 3, 4, and 5 on mobile and 7 on Steam.
Is 9 worth playing? Has anyone bought the mobile version? I'm not going to rush to buy it but I'm considering putting it on my list.

IX is good (IMHO) i.e. the battles and story. The card game is TERRIBLE, but playing is only required once to complete the game. I think the $21 is too expensive. I've been keeping a watch to see if Square Enix puts it on sale for $7.99 as they have some of their other FF games. Now, if they were to release FFVIII on mobile, I'd happily pay $20+. It's my fav, even moreso than VII.

Yeah I was looking for 7, since I believe it's on iTunes (wanted to see if they had an Android version). And instead, I found 9.
But, it's a ginormous app, something like 3 gigs. And I can get it on my Samsung S5, but apparently it's not compatible with my Asus MeMO pad. Plus I really dislike Square's D pad, so I'll probably just wait for the Steam release (it's coming, but no word on when).
