G-Corp is going to/did release their RPGs for outdated phones in a collection, each of them costs 500yen, that's the same price as one manga if I'm right. The issue is will they translate so many games to English without certain buyers behind it? They look all awesome to me, I would buy Glory of Heracles III first. The Greek DQ series deserves more respect. Isn't Paon who has the rights for it? Well Sorcerian is a port, and Falcom is OK with they rerelising their port of their game.

Thanks for the information! The Glory of Heracles game is what catches my eye the most.

The Glory of Heracles game I played was for the Nintendo DS. GameFAQs does list Paon as its developer (or rights holder)? It's currently available from eBay or Amazon for a very reasonable price ($15-$20 range) and like all DS games, it's compatible with a 2DS, a 3DS, or a New 3DS.

I think Glory of Heracles for the DS is the fifth game of the series. Unlike most other games in the series, the main character (who the player can name) is an amnesiac teenager, and he does not look anything like the Heracles main character of previous games in the series. The main character encounters a number of other figures from Greek mythology, but the game's story is more of a traditional JRPG saga inspired by myths, than it is traditional myths rendered in JRPG format.

Combat is turn-based and menu driven. There were a fair amount of options for strategy. I think some battle skills were missable, although skills weren't really hidden or that hard to pick up - the player just had to make an effort to get them. Completing the game unlocked characters that could be used in a "battle rush" mode, completely separate from the main game, that was basically a long string of battles including every boss, with very few breaks to rest or recover.

Glory of Heracles on the DS got mediocre to outright negative reviews, but I genuinely enjoyed it. From what little I've seen, earlier games in the series are much more primitive.
