I beat this on normal. I post two pictures because it is amazing how quickly you can gain levels in the last dungeon. Once you reach it, take an hour to grind!

I played the digital PSP/Vita/Vita TV version, which was retranslated by Natsume and retitled "Mystic Chronicles". It seems Natsume also renamed three of the playable characters - Light became Lux, Retea became Tina, and Poo became Murphy.
Perhaps the gameplay was also tweaked, because Mystic Chronicles is fairly long and somewhat grindy, like its indirect sequel Justice Chronicles. Like Justice Chronicles, Mystic Chronicles has three endings that progress in linear sequence.
Earning level 69 and the first ending (File 3) took 30 hours. Earning level 95 and the third ending (File 1) took 43+ hours. I also completed all sidequests, all arena fights, and an optional refight-all-bosses gauntlet.
Even though Mystic Chronicles/Fantasy Chronicles is an indirect prequel to Justice Chronicles, there is no need to play Mystic Chronicles first - the story connections are very minimal.
