PS4 version, Hard difficulty, True ending, all sidequests complete took about 28 hours.
I didn't do any of the arena battles, or any of the non-story postgame content that encourages leveling up to 999. A replay on Very Hard to attempt all the game's challenges is really tempting, and I'd probably do it if there weren't so many other games I want to play.
In terms of gameplay, Fernz Gate is the best Kemco RPG I've encountered yet. Journey to Kreisia remains my personal favorite, but that's more because of its story.
