Hey, no fair--I have the same problem and was going to ask you!!

I'm just fooling around in the post game on Tough, crafting the max weapons and armor, seeing how to easily destroy the nastiest monsters, etc. But "survey"??
I don't have a clue.

Maybe "connected" is the glue and you have to internet connected to something? I tried the google+. but all that did was get me the achievements and didn't get me past the guard.

I was doing the same...just schlepping around trying to find me missin' beasties and stumbled across this bossy little guy. That was a great theory about the "connection" angle. I've only managed to very simple theories.

One, maybe it's related to a completed catalog. The rational being that if a hunter is good enough to collect all the critters, then he is qualified to take part in a survey.

Two, it's evilness on the devs' part: "Dance puppet, dance!" That orphanage in AH2 is still driving me nuts. ?

What if it requires a dialogue check to pass. Maybe you're not talking to the right people? Maybe it's an long ass trading sequence of items you still need to complete? Also on a side note, what exactly is the postgame content?

Those are good ideas in most Kemco games, but don't seem to apply here. There are no trading quests, etc. I've talked to all the NPC, and they do nothing but provide "help" text. (In fact, all subquests come from the Guild, not from NPC.)
The post game here, and I quote from the story quests text: "Free adventure--Take on requests, aiming to fill the Catalog and the various lists"--nothing new at all, no bosses or mini-bosses (other than monsters you have already met). So not exactly a post game.

I thought about going back through all the other dungeons to see if there were any other places like this, but I lost interest in that pretty quickly. I also wondered if you have to complete every last guild quest in order to get a quest to "participate" in the survey... but I'm not willing to do any more side quests just to find this out.

I enjoyed the game, all the way until the final boss battle... but I think it's somewhat misleading for Exe Create to call what's left "post-game data" or whatever wording they use after the credits roll. I mean, as near as I could tell, there are no bonus bosses or dungeons - it's like 1oldtymer said, it's just an excuse to go back through all the dungeons trying to complete your monster catalog.

I went through all the dungeons again, but this is a unique spot. You cannot complete every guild quest, because they respawn the same ones over and over. So you can complete every unique quest only to see them return. There just isn't anything that we can call "extra" or "bonus" material.

So I finally got a response from facebook.

Thank you for playing KEMCO games.

Unfortunately, as described in our FAQ, we don't provide any walk-through information.

(We recommend to take on more quests to increase your hunter rank and try again.)

If you happen to discover any bug or malfunction, please feel free to contact our Customer Support at android@kemco.jp with any information in detail.

Hopefully you'll solve the challenge soon.

That's the same response they give on Twitter. :sigh:
Thanks for trying though, Lemmy.

PS: My level is 99 and hunter rank is maxed.

Just an FYI for anyone interested... I started a new game and paid a bit more attention to Satan Island. After the shrine battle, Digit and her crew are blocking the path to the N end of the room. If you return home for the scene, and then go back to the shrine, the little dude is already there.
