Ending explanation

Can anyone explain what happened in the True Ending: Beginning of a New Story? I saw Alex and Lita in a park... Is there some sort of relationship between them after the time skip? I am just curious.

I think there's no relationship yet. Notice that Alex and Lita discuss Alex' fight with the psycho and Lita's recovery, meaning that this is probably their first serious talk on Earth. The relationship just might develop later on
