Has anyone already created a guide or list of all the jobs and pre-reqs, etc? I’d love to know what is required to get Paladin, for example, and all the other jobs, before I start switching around. And if anyone has good basic recommendation for jobs, that’d be nice too. But mostly I just want the information of what’s required for what.

I think there is (or was) a spreadsheet with enemy&item info.

Requirements are shown in-game, but items that you need require searching every new area thoroughly.

You can beat the game without Job Changing, it's forced post-game thanks to enemies being strong. God Hand (Best Melee Tier, Attack Stat) and Magical Star (Best Mage Tier, Magic Stat) are the best Jobs for 6 characters.

the spreadsheet has stat info on jobs, but not requirements. I have not found the info in the game, either. For example, for Paladin it just says “”Specific job history” but not what that history has to be. Like, is it Warrior level 10 and Priest level 10? Or what? That’s what I’d like to know in advance so I can plan my team and change jobs sooner.

Here ‘s a link to what I was looking for, but in Japanese. I’m going to use Google translate and clean it up to make a chart in English for my own use. I may post it here when I’m done.

I guess since last time I played info was either lost by broken link or my overexcitement that lead to 14 page topic.

Here is something I found in my notes--I think it is a translation of the job requirements table you mentioned. Unfortunately it isn't in an uploadable format, so I just carved it into 3 jpg files.

 

Regardless of Job level  requirements, if you want to have strongest spells from each job you will need to get high level (Stat Grind requires level 99 each Job change).
