Auto battle tactics greyed out

Is anyone able to use the Tactics feature to set up your auto battles? I would love my characters to use their strongest skills when I use auto battle, but the options are all greyed out. Thanks

At Auto Battle characters use random skills (but jobs don't have huge variety of skills to choose from). Change Tactics to the one which only allows character to use offensive skills and Magic and that should make them kill enemies easily. You can't use skills from any other job. Some skills are Greyed out until the battle has certain conditions (like Revive skill can only be used when a character is unconscious (dead).
