How to recruit Sophia from Veynahs Port?

She wants me "stand ten feet away" to talk.

I'vetried any and every space directly facing her, in all directions (both west and south have ten steps distances), with Alan or Raine as leader, to talk (action key in d-pad) to her, but to no avail.

What should I do?

Never mind, she's there because I've recruited her already.

The message changes when she has a higher level.
