I know that this is one of the newer Asdivine games, but I was wondering if anyone has a walkthrough planned for this game?  I played Dios and Menace prior to this and some of the regular forum members provided a nice, in-depth walkthrough for both games, but there's hardly any info or help topics for this one.

I'm asking because this game is very different from the previous Asdivine games I've played.  Not only different, but actually much tougher as well.  I always play these games on Normal (never Easy) and I've encountered some crazy difficulty spikes thus far.  It's almost to the point where grinding and pumping stat boosts into your characters is mandatory for most boss battles.  I'm getting absolutely destroyed by most bosses even after grinding a bit, so I've come here to seek assistance.  I don't know, maybe it's just me and I'm playing the game wrong or something but it's getting pretty rough.  It's a shame too because I really like the Asian flair the game has as well as the story and humor, but it's almost getting to the point where it's just not fun to play anymore.  Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!

The game is certainly beatable on the highest difficulty setting - I'm living proof of that -, but not everyone likes to grind (and outgrind the challenge) in the same fashion as me. So yeah, grinding is always an option. Most recent Exe Create games feature "EXP decay", which means the stronger you are compared to the enemies, the fewer experience points you get for defeating them (with 50% as the lower limit). This means it's possible - and probably a good idea - to fight in a location until it's not worth the effort anymore. Also, those permanent stat boosters make a huge difference during the early- and mid-game, and you get a random one after every six successful battles (I think), i. e. this is another reason why fighting battles is always the right thing to do.

The next step is to ensure that you have the best equipment available at any given moment, and you should also spend your in-game premium currency wisely (while you can do without the permanent EXP boosters, they obviously bring the most benefits if purchased as soon as possible). Furthermore, I think Asdivine Kamura is the latest Exe Create game where skills can be strengthened through repeated usage (with 1000 being the limit, if I remember correctly, and there's probably a related shortcut item in the in-game premium shop).

Whether you've followed this guideline or not, it all eventually boils down to strategy to increase your chances of survival. Asdivine Kamura is the first game of a newer generation of Exe Create games, where factors not present in earlier games suddenly become important, like summoning familiars to support party members (and especially to take hits for them), using familiars and skills to maximize action speed, or using skills in a certain order to maximize efficiency (though they aren't all present in this game). Apart from that, it's important to buff your party's attributes (attack, defense, intelligence, speed) and debuff your enemies' attributes during boss battles. Constantly reapplying (de)buffs is annoying, but it's the safest way to win boss fights.

It has been a while since I played the game, so I'm sorry I can't offer more specific advice, but the aforementioned hints should serve as food for thought. And don't forget, there's no shame in setting the difficulty to the lowest level if you really want to overcome a certain obstacle without spending too much time.

Cainohpue, thank you for replying and giving me a detailed answer full of helpful info.  It looks like many people have moved on from this game so I was wondering if I even was going to get a response.

I don’t think the EXP decay is even that big of a problem for me.  Things will just take longer.  I just feel like the enemies - especially the bosses - level up with me so even after an hour or so of grinding it still takes a bit to beat them.  I don’t like that in the games I play.  If I’m going out of my way to grind levels and better gear, I want to be rewarded for that time and effort.  The game just feels incredibly unbalanced with how things work.  I already feel as though I am at a much higher level than I need to be right now (just finished first fight with
Givol
and it took me ages to beat him.

When it comes to the harbinger mechanic, I’ve mostly been using the transform option rather than the summon option.  Like you said, I feel as though I should be using summoning just to divert attention away from my party so I can get some debuffs in, since there is no ‘debuff all’ skill at my point in the game.  But again, buffing and debuffing shouldn’t be mandatory during boss fights yet I feel it’s starting to become that way the further I get into the game.

Once again, thank you for your helpful input.  I will definitely be using your tips as I make my way through the rest of the game.

Given you finish Kamura above level 120 (up to 160 on Easy), I would just assume that level up effects are less impressive here than in other games of the franchise. I don't think the boss scales level, but whatever the help says is probably correct and we wrong :P

Abuse farming.

You can make stronger armor / armor with added effects. You can make hit all +50 and crit +50 stone. You can make OP acc. And the most important, you can farm stats boost item.
