How weapon conversion works.
Open the menu and tap Convert
You might have several choices
Now you will notice you have the choice to use a Forge Stone. Tap the selection you desire.
Notice how using a Forge Stone increases ATK and MGC but Forge Stones are limited so chose wisely.
