I found the encounter rate annoying.
Unfortunately, as there is no way to know if you have learned all possible skills, I would say that IF a boss has a skill you can learn, then yes, that type of skill would be missable. I don't know if a boss has a skill that can be learned, so perhaps on an early boss you can experiment (don't save, reload and fight again if you didn't learn a skill) to determine if that test boss has a skill you can learn.
How good is this game?
@nemomon Yeah you can miss boss skills if you forget to use Marshma's Learning ability on them. However, not all bosses have learnable skills. There is no way of knowing which bosses do and don't beforehand (though there is a monster guide for regular random encounters).
And if by double the encounter rate you mean a battle every 60 seconds, then yeah you might find it annoying. I auto battle through some of them though.

So I deleted Crystal Ortha recently. Not only did I not get past those Lightning Rejuvenators, but I completely lost interest in the game. Maybe it was burnout from playing TWEWY Solo Remix for months affecting me, but I just didn't care about the characters anymore and the gameplay got frustrating once I got to Hemlock.
Probably not gonna buy anymore Kemco games for a while either, esp. at full price. Gonna just replay the ones I have and wait for interesting ones to get discounted.
