Spoiler-free list of easily-overlooked roles in Chroma Quaternion

Nothing is permanently missable in Chroma Quaternion, but since roles need experience to level up, you'll want to access each role as soon as you can. Some roles are granted automatically as the story progresses, but most come from role crystals looted from treasure chests, awarded from sidequests, or earned as panel rewards. After you get a role crystal, you have to visit a shrine and ask a maiden to make the role usable.

You may want to avoid looking at complete role lists. They spell out the name of a certain special role (which is visible but unusable at the beginning of the game), and that name is a spoiler! The role's name and description are mostly obscured at the beginning of the game; the name and description are gradually revealed as Chroma Quaternion progresses.

Here's a list of the roles that come from treasure chests, in the order that the player can encounter them. I'm partly obscuring the role names and area names to keep everything as spoiler-free as possible, while providing enough cues for a player to check whether they have obtained the role or not.

Two roles are sidequest rewards:

F----- D-- role for Foure from side quest 11 (starts in Elvust City, but only if Foure has mastered the C--- P-- role. I think this means Foure must raise the role to level 20 and/or refine it at least once?)

S------- B----- role for Eara from side quest 13 (starts in Elvust City, but not available until late in the game. I believe the party must play through the story in I-- Hill first.)

Finally, five roles are panel rewards from Chroma Quaternion's panel menu. I won't list them because progress toward completing panel rewards can easily be checked from the panel menu, anytime.

Note that the reward panels are divided into tiers, and later tiers do not become available until earlier tiers are fully completed. However, any progress made toward later tier panel rewards is remembered, even if the later tier isn't unlocked yet.

Also keep in mind that some panel rewards are gated by story progression - they are literally impossible to clear until the player reaches a certain point in the game.
