I just checked my save file and all the available items, but sadly, it seems that Chroma レイン is right. There isn't even a pay-to-shortcut DLC to adjust the encounter rate this time.
While I don't remember where it can be found or if/how it can be synthesized, you can equip the Alpha-ring "Luring Ring" to increase the encounter rate. It's better than nothing, but still a far cry from "encounters with every step". Also, you can use the monster terminals in the dungeons to fight three enemy encounters in quick succession. These monster terminals are probably the reason why the developers didn't deem it necessary to include an "encounters with every step" feature in this game.

If you're looking for grind spot, I recommend the spirit islands around Nondia continent and it can be accessible with boat too. So even if you don't have that particular vehicle yet, you can still grind there as long as you're around LV100-200.
I actually recommend an order to grind but I forgot which spirit islands I started first and their names too. The last grindable spirit island once you reach certain levels is the same dungeon you need to go for Guild Job #40.

Hmm-hmm. I already completed this back on 2021 and It would really be helpful if they have that for several missions involving overworld monsters really. There's also lack of treasure chest finder related items but they're much more easier to find than before so I don't mind anyway.
Monster terminal is your (Shilka) best bet for dungeons related monsters and a will for overworld monsters. Reaching LV999 if you want to, takes time, and it's not worth it anyway since you can easily destroy strong bosses even at LV600. (Talking to you my beloved Receptionist.)

Oh and another weird thing I've noticed about Asdivine SaGa Remake is that on the PS5 version at least there's a softlock that can occur while autoing battles so you need to be careful about autobattling in this one SMH
But then again this was one of the very first EXE Create PS5 ports
