I have reached the 12th floor of Labyrinth of Time, waiting to become much more stronger to fight the floor boss.

What I acquired from mob drops (YES, SURPRISINGLY and HAPPILY!) was a very rare material "Firegold" on the 7th floor. So far, I've managed to get 2 of it!

I'm not sure what you mean by "mob" drops. The giga monsters do random rare drops, but are not floor determined (as far as I know). Did you ever see "Firegold" shown when using "search"? I limited the table to only those that show in "search." I'll be happy to add firegold on 7th floor if you saw it in search.

Sorry, I mean item drops from monsters. No, the 2 Firegold dropped were not from giga monsters. I remember the 1st dropped from a group of Naver Notass and Urei Wolves.

It must be a random rare drop (same as crystals) since I don't see "Firegold" appear in any of the 12 floors' "search".

The first suggestion that comes to my mind is to level up your characters.
2nd is to review the setup of your team, especially on 3 points:
1. What roles do you give to each member? Do you have any dedicated healers and attackers?
2. What (type of) crystals do you have? Physical attacks, Magical attacks, Buffs (Atk Up, Def Up, Int Up etc), Debuffs (Atk Down, Action Value Down/Delay), Heals?
3. Do you have any tactics or strategies for your current team setup and combination of crystals?

With the lack of specifics or details at the moment, I'd suggest the following:
1. Assign at least 2 Attackers and 2 Healers/Buffers/Debuffers
2. When fighting bosses, always buff your team members first, then debuff the boss.
3. If you have only 1 "Glasses" crystals, equip it on your Healer so that he/she is immune to status ailments.
4. If you have Time element crystals, consider using spells that delay enemy action (example: Black Hole, Stahafun)
5. Make your weapons and armors stronger by using cauldrons and fortification.

Use cauldrons, use Anywhere Battle Arena (hard), tweet everyday to obtain 50 FRP for Storehouse keys (or 100~200FRP for more cauldrons)...
Get the material you need to transmigate your weapons and strength them, and keep making them stronger.

But don't forget you'll be doomed either way if you're not fast enough, so buy some SPD seeds on the exchanger (anywhere arena)
AFAIK the seeds will increase warranted 3 SPD (no randomness, unlike other EXE-create games)

Also, when you're facing 4 enemies on a boss fight, there are 3 weakers and 1 super strong. Use row/columns attacks to finish the weakers, have someone strong focusing in kiling them, in fact, ignore the stronger boss except when debuffing and etc.
When you sum their damage, sometimes it's suffice to kill a party member, so focus on who you can kill before their turn.

I hope some crystal contains High Careall ability (or you'll probably resort to Barbecue Sets - not nice)
Sometimes you'll want to use the Specials on the 2 turn. Specials are great to restore HP and MP, and sometimes you need this regeneration more than you need the 20% bonus stats. There were fights I didn't used them at all, identify the ones you can "handle" and don't be aware to return to Owl Village only to rest at Inn for 5 GP to restore, between others, the EP bar.

And as Islandi pointed out, have defined roles and a party-strategy. Someone do the hits, someone weakens the others. ;)
In fact, Islandi told you to do everything I assume you've already done ._.
