Do some anywhere battle arenas, on hard diffculty, obtain some Mystic Light (will take a while), enhance the Mentor Spear (that weak initial spear Tusbasa has, which when enhanced the first time gains atonishing 600 atk)
Yamato is using a +999 sword, so let he focus solely on attacks. Do not allow him to buff or heal, he's to solely use skill abilities eg. Poison slash
If you obtain the mystic light, use Tsubasa to be the second damage dealer.
Rick was meant to be a tanker (just check base params, see, defenses are high) so give Rick the healing/buffing functions and etc.
Harleck's Wild Gunman is useful if his attack is high, but if sleep rain attacks and inflicts sleep, it'll be useful against group of 4 enemies.
Again, these skills are great as long that harleck's gun is strong. So use the additional resources from arena and the cauldrons to enhance his attack.
By the way, where's Orka? She can help to finish an enemy before you're attacked, so please consider the necessity to finish the DK plot and unlocking the Material Tower...

havent got orka yet in story, currently have to go to salvador grotto to head to craverly castle just completed pekelet cave and the bandit subquest in mecon village and im ruins sorry forgot the name, i'm going to try it soon but might try and rearrange the crystals i have and make yamato able to use the crystal with giga slash, giga slave and hold wave, i'll see what i have for crystals tank wise. i gave rick a crystal that has energy stock and life stock, which recover hp for all allies and mp for all allies by like 5% per turn ill see what else i can give him. i got 2 mystic lights from hard arena, still cant survive hell mode just yet, but i am able to use the cauldrons every 6 hours so been doing that., fortifying armor when i can and when i have the ingredients. guess i'll try and level up more in arena and story.
Well, my team is a little OP because I have all three caluldrons and I have the game for quite a while now, but... I am at level 67 and I'm already on the middle of Material Tower and even if you don't OP your char, with 75 you can BEAT THE MATERIAL TOWER BOSS - with a large advantage, or so I heard.

is it just me or are the drop rates in the tower RIDICULOUSLY low?
I have been on floor 2 for almost two hours trying to get one flourite. One.
(No I am not using, nor will use, the item drop thing in the IAP store. I play these games on free mode in order to get a better grip on abusing... I mean learning crafting systems =)
