What happened to Magitec?

General chat about Kemco games, that's not specific to in-game help.

So, uhm, just wondering (this bugged me for a while), does anyone knows what happened to Magitec?

They're not listed on http://www.kemco-games.com/global/about.html#business
Which lists bussiness connections of Kemco (from 2015).

I didn't found anything relevant in Google (although if I knew Japanese it could have been easier? It kept trying me to search for magitek I know nothing about).

GameFAQs also is silent about new developments after 2015
https://www.gamefaqs.com/company/143015-magitec

This means I'm probably late and maybe it was answered somewhere else, but, I would like to know if Magitec still exists.
Maybe I'll take the time to see if this is a duplicate later. It could as well be answered elsewhere :P >.>

EDIT: On hindsight, have anyone asked KEMCO about that?

Good question... maybe they realized that nothing will ever be as spectacular as Chrome Wolf was, and just decided to call it quits? (joking)

Seriously, though, I'm surprised no one else had noticed that. As I read your post I thought "surely they've done something this year?" and I had to look at the games list to realize that, no, you're right; they haven't done anything in a long time. Strange, because I really like some of their games, and I would've sworn they had more than 9...

I love Magitec(2nd fav behind hit-point) and I long lost hope of seeing another game from them as its really been a while. I think their last one was blood of calamity and that was my absolute favorite from them.

Even though they put out the least game of the 4 devs(not counting ChocoArts yet) they still have solid titles with Grinsia, Blood of Calamity, Shelterra, Covenant of Solitude and Soul Historica and even though I haven't tried Chrome Wolf yet I think everyone thinks thats a solid title as well.
Favorites: Blood of Calamity | Chronus Arc | Band of Monster | Machine Knight | Djinm Caster | Justice Chronicles | Unlucky Hero | Fernz Gate | Dragon Lapis

Disliked: Asdivine Dios | Fairy Elements

That's a headscratcher for me too. All we can do now is speculate on what happened to the company. It might explain why there's no efforts at making an english Ancient Phantasma too.

Although Magitec seems to be gone, their non-appearance in this list on Kemco is not significant. As far as I can tell, by searching the archives of that page, Magitec never appeared on the list of business connections (I want all the back to start of 2013, when the page was in a different format, but even then they still were not listed on the appropriate page).

You can view their website at http://magitec.main.jp/

If we're lucky, it's just something like "they're finally trying to make a new engine...and it's taking a lot longer than expected" instead of "they dropped off the face of the earth".

magitech make dull game and doesn't know how to handle the end of the game to my opinion. although it's surprising they always make sad story with really hard choice. at least they are more mature. seems like blood of calamity has a different main character as usual but i have not begin it yet. so far i have finished grace of letoile and chrome wolf and i have prefered from a distance grace of letoile because it has less flows than chrome wolf.

the dungeon of chrome wolf gave me headaches with their narrow path and that was the main issue for me with some battle being blurp. i easily admit the story is excellent, mature, and the side quest has event non encountered anywhere else but this epic end... i would just say that being a "traitor" whatever the reason is led to death.

grace of letoile was better in term of ending but this overall sadness on the choice of the letoile and their master...

my favorite magitech would be dark seven so far where it is possible to find a satisfying ending after the post game. i think i have finished other magitech game but they don't come at mind at the moment.

anyway i will try ancient phantasma even in japanese since it will be the last game of them i don't have install yet.

I respectfully disagree with Dark Seven. That game was poorly created and unsatisfying to beat. This has to do with the lackluster post-game dungeon and Reia being the most OP character in the game. Also, Everything in this game is weak to light.
