The video says pretty much everything about this game a long time before it showed up.
"4 Hours. " " Single Player game with only one difficulty " "Plasma gun".. Wait. Plasma gun?
There aren't any secrets in the game and because the game told it's short game I never had to search for hidden things. Bosses were challenging but all skills available at any of the fights are enough to win regardless of level. I ended the game in around 3 hours and I spent around 20-25 minutes at lazy walking around the small dungeons.

I'm just at the start of chapter 5. All I can say is for a short game, at least it's very well executed. Unlike Astral Frontier where it all feels jumbled together and like they just released the rough draft rather than make a solid game...
It does feel a little bit "too simple" especially at the start, but the battles do get a bit harder as you progress.
Overall it feels like a Hit Point version of an Exe Create engine, and yet I find that strangely satisfying. I'd love to see more games like this, only a bit harder, more fleshed out, and, of course - longer .

Yeah, I thought that after beating the game and starting again something would change but it's the same but much easier at 2nd playthrough. Rushed through the game again up to 5th chapter in 55 minutes (skipped most dialogue because I already read it) while making sure that I didn't skip any treasure or stars at 2nd time. Story is same and no matter what choices you make (I mean at getting 3rd party member if you choose no then a simple dialogue will show up and you'll still have to say yes anyway)

I didn't like this game at all. The whole thing felt like a tutorial...do this, now do this, then this, then this, then this...(ad nauseum). No thinking required (or allowed). Nothing to explore, discover or figure out. Boring. Hope we get a real game soon!

The game description already told that it's not a big game and it's practically a Walkthrough for the game. It's half of guiding player from one scene to another with occasional boss fights. You're right that the game is throwing everything at you but at least if someone can't afford spending hours for grinding at long games that basically put in anything to make game last longer (It's great thing) then the game will be enjoyable. Each chapter lasts 15-30 minutes on average and feels like games before discovering that the more things appear the better like Dragon Quest. And because description says it's first of short KEMCO games, we will see more similar games while waiting for long games that require much more work to develop.
At least the game doesn't lie about time required to beat it which already tells it's not having a long list of useless equipment /items / sidequests about doing one thing.
(I'm not defending the game, just saying that from the beginning to the end there aren't any things to make it look longer than it is).
I also have hopes for longer games to come out but not a single developer can make new games every week.

I wondered if Archlion Saga's story changed at all on a new game+ playthrough. Thank you for confirming that it doesn't. Archlion Saga was amusing enough to play once, but new game+ sounds like a snoozefest.
