Does beating Dungeon of Trials increase the drop rate for the special boss equipment for that day?

I don't think so. The Japanese Wiki suggests that you get a drop after increasing a "special boss" level about 10 times. It does not have to be the same boss--just a total of about 10 increases across all the special bosses. The bosses are thought to be interchangeable: any boss can drop the NEXT special weapon. I did think that changing the real time day after a level increase helped, but the Wiki doesn't say anything about that. However, it does indicate that if you get the message "...come back again later" from a previously defeated boss, you will need to wait until the next real time day before that boss is willing to fight again.

And something funny : I didn't use Claw much at all even though I saw that he had better stats then most other people. Hey, he even has better stats than Blont! And with such high MP and Full Cure/Cura he can be both Tank and Healer now:) And I don't have to worry about MP. 80+ Elixirs and 99 MP Herbs do the whole job

I tried that thing and now I confirmed that :

Special Boss Drops appear every 10 Boss kills. It can be any boss, even the easiest as long as it can level up. Total Boss Level must be 10x the Item placement on the List. So Dark Knife requires 10th Level total at bosses (like Level 5 Kraken + Level 5 Bird of the Gale

All bosses that can level up can drop any item from the list (so theoretically you can get all 11 Items from Kracken by making him to level 100+ however it's not a good idea although I'll be trying that thing. 2 Items are dropped by him recently) .

Bosses don't get more health but eventually they'll be faster than the party and strong enough to 1-shot anyone.

Got Kracken to level 54 and I can still beat it but it has around 1300 Health and will soon be able to 1-shot a person (but it has no party attacks at all). Note that I'm doing this at Easy.

5 Special Drops now from him

3 Items left to get.

It would be more impressive on Normal and it seems like Kracken is very easy to kill.

Why? Because regardless of speed everyone gets 1 attack each turn. So I'll try it on Normal

Phoenix Egg will do wonders at Kracken xd
