Hidden passage

Do I need any food to discover hidden passages?

Nope, u don't need any food to discovered them. But when u eat buff to show hidden they will glowing so u can see them clearly.

There is a way to use food for skills. At first, I thought if you eat a bunch of something, you gain and keep those skills, buffs, and stat-boosters. I don't think that's necessarily so. For instance, I ate a bunch of HP boosters, but I noticed my HP only increased once. For the boosters, I think only one during each empty stomach works.

For buffs, such as Dark Resistance, as an example, I don't know if you can eat it any time during your stomach fill. Can't say I really experimented with it. So what I do, just to be safe, is eat the buff food last. Then the buff shows up next to the Char's name so you know it's working.

I cannot recommend eating a Deluxe Pizza to give vision to hidden passages. Deluxe Pizza contains Black Mushrooms and Emperor Crab. Emperor Crab is quite difficult to get. Black Mushrooms may require some grinding/farming more than most ingredients, but it is, by far, easier to get than Emperor Crab. Use one of the handful of dishes that contain only Black Mushrooms as a rare ingredient to gain vision for Secret Passages. Secret Passages aren't revealed like they are in many of the Kemco games, but you will notice sparkles at the secret entrances.

I'm still on my fourth dungeon, not so very far into the game.

@noblestripes The game last quite a while, so take you're time and enjoy it. You're also provided with post-game play. I'm assuming it's to create and/or finish recipes. Post-game started for me last night and I haven't done anything yet. Can't really say for sure what to expect. After all, this IS Kemco. ...
