Any discussion on the game is to be made here, until the respective category for the game is made.

I have kinda mixed opinion on this game because of the trailer. I will buy it when others find it good or not ( because Revenant Dogma , left a weird taste in my mouth .)

I just scrolled through the help, and the opening parts of the story. The game engine looks to be just about identical to Revenant Dogma. There is even one area set up exactly like the est dungeon area (easy, normal, hard, hell) with the same restrictions. Graphics appear similar, the two types of chests are the same, etc. The battle effects are the same (with the same icons). Weapon customization and breaking appears to be similar (just with different names). There may be a change in the use of weapons, as it appears you can carry multiple weapons and perhaps (not sure just yet) you can change those during a battle.

From What I have Read, the Ethereal Est base thingy name is Fairyland or something like that, which acts exactly like what it did in dogma.
The game engine also seems to be the same as that of Dogma albeit with a few tweaks to accustom the multiple weapon feature and the mid battle weapon change feature. The "Break" System in the game is Known as "Fever" which causes you to attack randomly with all weapon you have 4-5 or so times. I think that Fever only uses Normal Attacks and no Skills.

Other than that is what you have said above. I just hope that something is new in the game, since the Weapon Change Feature looks amusing but I will have to wait and see, and like I said above, I will wait for people to tell me how it goes.

OK, I've done a little experimenting. Yes, apparently the characters start off with two slots to equip weapons, and eventually can unlock 2 more slots. All weapons can be used in every battle: when you click on attack, it shows you your weapons and you click on the one you want to use for that turn (you can use a different weapon each turn). There are 4 types of weapons, and all characters you can use every type (some weapons are better for physical attacks, some for magical). A little feature that may be important: the longer a weapon goes unused, the more "aura" it builds so that "fever" (like burst in Dogma, I think, although as Azyleo has noted, we don't know if skills get launched here) can be invoked. Each weapon can be customized, just as in Revenant Dogma. How strategic this might be in battles, who knows?

I would like to ask; is the Aura Feature available for only one Weapon at a time( or does each weapon have a separate Aura bar?)or Collectively for all Weapons the character has equipped?

If its the Latter, then the game will have more strategy based gameplay I presume.

I don't know yet: I only 2 weapons and I just started. Reading the help, I think each weapon should have its own aura, but I haven't had the opportunity to observe the process yet.

Each weapon does its own aura gauge. The help says that aura grows (up to 150%) :"the aura gauge of weapons not used in battles increases each turn (from 100% to 150%)." I'm not sure how to read that, but what I see so far is that the aura gauge of the weapon I am not using in battle hasn't moved at all! So I don't know what to think, unless the "increase" each turn is so small it doesn't show [so the increase is a step function with LARGE intervals between steps?].

OK, I see it now. The aura gauge only moves DURING a battle, and resets to its base at the end of a battle. It appears each turn an unused weapon gains 5% (the aura gauge goes up 5 units). So the aura technique might be useful in LONG/BOSS battles, but not of much use otherwise.

Oh I see, that's quite helpful for people reading this. I take it that Exe-Create did that as to minimise how much people will spam it ( Like in Menace, just Spam Limit Breaks lol .)

Or maybe just like other games, there might be accessories or weapon effects which increase the aura gauge.

Hey guys,

Just started my day. I've moved this topic to the Glorious Savior category and just downloaded the game.

About the four weapons - it seems to me this is similar to the "Transformations" in Revenant Dogma in some ways. What I got from the in-game Help is that you can choose which weapon to use each turn, and each weapon has different skills that can be learned (or equipped, or unlocked, or whatever.)

Also it appears each weapon "type" has different skill "type" - for example the staff-type weapon must be equipped in order to use magic skills.

Obviously that's all I know until I get into the game and can see all this stuff in action.

Anyway the main thing that caught my attention about this game --- the story takes place 300 years after a "Hero" saved the world from the Overlord, with the help of the Hero Sword. (The Intro also talks about a kingdom that has been built by the Hero's descendants.) Makes it sound very much like an indirect sequel to Journey to Kreisia, yes?
