Every 30 minutes since you last saw an Auto Save you should see a message "You didn't save for a while. Do you want to save the game?" I think there should be a setting for auto save, not sure though.

It just works for  everywhere, even in town if you don't trigger Usual auto save (Usual Auto Save works when you go into town or use stairs inside them, like entering stairs to the room leading to Larkwood Mines.

Also, whenever I visit Tunnel of the Forge, the game makes usual auto save. That area acts as intersection between the three separate dungeons.

Yes, I know about that.  In my experience, however, it isn't real clock time that needs to have elapsed, but actual "play time."  That is, I've tried to just leave the game idling, on but not doing anything, and the question about saving doesn't seem to appear.  Maybe I didn't wait long enough (I waited 25 minutes)?  In which case just standing still in a dungeon would not trigger the autosave.

OK, I am now letting the game wait while I just entered the cave at southwest corner of the Solace area.  I'll let it go more than 30 minutes to see if it asks for autosave.

The answer: YES, after 30 minutes the autosave question comes on screen.

I forgot to mention that this game has anti-clock manipulation feature as every action requires Real In-Game time to pass. Changing the clock does nothing. I tried it at slots as 5 minutes was a really long time of just waiting. Didn't work. I don't have to say "In-Game Clock" as the game knows how much time you spent (Note: the time is passing regardless of your actions so staying in one place triggers it as long as for the entire time the game is playable.) playing the game.

However, you must know exactly when this Auto save will happen as for me, I happened to skip it twice yesterday at the cave. Moving to the left or doing stuff like healing the party when this occurs will immediately skip Auto Save option. At least it happened to me twice at the cave I finally explored.

That's good to know.  I will use a stopwatch to know how many minutes/seconds have elapsed in "game time" since the last auto-save, and perhaps that way I'll be prepared to "idle" just before the autosave should trigger.

I am simply using real time (so let's say I got an Auto save prompt at 8:15 pm, I clicked "Yes, Save" at 8.18 pm, the next Auto Save will happen at 8:48 pm because the 30 minute timer starts exactly when the Auto Save Screen disappears regardless of your action.).

At my age, my memory isn't so good, so using a stopwatch saves me from having to remember the actual time.  However, I still have to remember to look at the watch :-)

Well, I'm at the boss, and I did auto-save just prior to battle.  Good thing, as he has killed my party twice so far.  What is that sequence where he appears to transfer two icons, poison and a sword, to a party member?  Can I transfer it right back via attack, or do I need to use antidote on it?  I'm hitting him with icefall and poison, but not making much of a dent.

EDIT:[OK, I see that the icons belong to the monster, but for some reason on my tablet sometime show up in upper left, above first character in the party.  Other times they show where they should, on the monster.]

I think that Sword Icon means that your Strength has been lowered by some amount. So far I never saw any Status Debuff magic except Poison.

I checked the new area, got a couple of treasures but sadly, no map drop. Got level 100 New Fire Shield which will deal approximately 200k damage (80k base+ Focus 250%+) damage whenever something hits me. Also, I died through unlucky fight.

Half way to level 94 so I guess it's impossible to get level 97 at current pace today.

I'm struggling with this boss.  I did come close once, had done 800000 damage before he killed my party.  Last battle he killed my warrior and thief in just two turns.  I don't have any monster one turn damage I can inflict, so I just try to chip away and stay alive.  My cleric tends to run out of MP what with max healing almost every turn.

I'm not sure what to try at this point.    I could use that 200k fire shield :-)
