Also, I just found out that currently I’m not able to make Tier III spells. I’ll need to make it in steps (First, Rank I,  then Rank II and finally Rank III spell). So I’ll make Books I’ll be using while selling all stuff.
That’s interesting.  Perhaps that is why I never could get Wave of Paralysis III, as I had dropped I after I got II.

I just opened the gate to Serevok.  Should I go back to Larkwood to prepare, or is someplace else better?  Larkwood now shas the pesky “savage” things that don’t hit hard, but take some pounding to subdue.  However, I think I get the same drops there as anywhere else, although some of these monsters rarely drop anything but a green gem.

If you are at level 79/80 and have the Rank III Poisons and Best Shields, try to beat him after buffing and restoring mana. You might need some Scrools or Bottles to revive the Party. Remember to keep Focus On Sorcerer and Buff Speed then Strength If Cleric doesn't have to heal anyone during battle.

No. You're totally wrong as until Dragonreach all areas can drop Spells of up to Rank III, although Wave of Paralysis III is the Rarest Spell you should have. Dragonreach area monsters don't drop any equipment or Spells. They give materials although essence is very rare. Spell requires having A Scrool and Magic Source to make Book Tier I. Tier II requires fusing Tier I with Better Magic Source, Tier III requires the Final Magic Source to make.

As I feared, Serevok gave my party a harsh lesson.  So back to Larkwood to get more gems to buy some Life in a Bottle.  Also, I'd be happy to replenish some of the scrolls I used in the battles just before Serevok.  Party members are now chained to their desks to study the techniques needed to survive against the monster.  No days off.  No vacation.

This fight is quite tough as I was at level 81 when I killed him.. Also, I had some of the Ragefire Equipment I found from monsters around the Boss area. This helped me.

Currently I'm 50% done with Dreamforged Set for the party. Xehanort, the Sorcerer is main damage dealer so he became the Dragon. Thanks to that I die way less as he kills most enemies. Sometimes enemies still kill either one person (Of course, Cleric.. He's 65k experience off..) or whole team.

OK, another question.  I am now at level 81, and in Larkwood Mines the ONLY monster who appears is the  Savage Jelly.  I'm sure the rare "furious" monster may appear sometime, but in 6 consecutive battles nothing but Savage Jelly.  This just happened when I rolled over from level 80 to 81.

If I go up around Serevok, will the same thing happen?  These monsters rarely drop anything, usually not a body part, and sometimes powerful equipment.

You've found the Easiest monsters that lurk around Cratos, although they're accompanied by other enemies.

Go and beat Severok now as grinding at Mines is useless for you until you reach level 87+.

Level 105 Reached, learned new Rank I spells although they cost more mana so I'm not using them yet. I'd need more than a Potion of Mana 4000 to use these every fight.

Getting ready to bump into the Level 110 Ceiling! Level 106 Reached!

I got very lucky, Got 4 Essences in 5 minutes of grinding but I needed to get level up too. I'll try the Boss soon.
