Cant get elf or amazon

I didn't know i could recruit either. After visiting the elf town I went to the spirits to get the pixie item to do the light and dark cave. I went back before finishing the cave and found the amazon castle. Now BOTH npcs are asking for the Sylvian Talisman. Neither of them joined my party. Did I find a bug and get screwed over by this?

I'm not sure if you did something wrong to prevent them to join, but you can get one of them only, choice doesn't matter as later the one you didn't choose should be recruitable. Did you get the Talisman they are asking you for?

From what I am reading on the forums here the talisman isnt available till the library which is near the end of the game. One is suppose to join my team now if im reading right. I have asked both to join and both tell me to go get that talisman.

Unless the game doesnt remove the talisman form your inventory when you end up giving it to them I think I may be stuck only getting one of them in this play through. If thats the case can I ask what their stats and classes are like? I wanted the amazon, but I dont know what either do.

I'm not sure about their Stats, but if you can't recruit either of them (not sure how it could happen) you may probably be unable to have both of them, not sure if this game can let you go for New Game+, but I know that Summon Mate has that option. Choice won't matter much as far as I know.

If anyone has any idea about this i would still like to hear, but can another tell me where the amazon deed is then? I would like someone in my party to try it out. Maybe both of them? To see partial what im missing.

Where are you in the Story?

And, I think there is a New Game+ where you keep everything except for the items that are needed for Story progression. So, if you won't be able to get both of them, beat the game and talk to someone who will let you start the game again (I think the King).

Class-Changing Items are found as you progress through the game, in bookshelves, barrels etc.

Okay...Thank you for your help and sorry about all this. I looked at the walkthrough guide and progressed a little further and didnt realize the elf and amazon town were visited a second in the guide. So the two town descriptions in the guide sum up what you do in BOTH of your visits to the towns and not your first visit.

I beat the light and dark cave then went back and let the beast go in the empire and saw the guide showed another visit to the 2 towns where I had to fight BOTH the elf and the amazon before either one would join my team. Now I picked the amazon and the elf wants the sylvian talisman again now that ive fought him.

If I had to guess I think all i had to do after beating the light and dark cave and freeing the empire beast was to go back to the town, fight either the elf or the amazon then leave the zone and come back and talk to them to get them to join instead of fighting both.

Sorry that was all very confusing how that played out.
