Jane & Alex battle strategy

As we know, in Mount Ramah you can fight Jane and Alex together. It's worth noting that Alex is said to only use magic. Since Jane is the stronger and we will want to focus on her, there should be a way to keep Alex out of the way.

By this point you should have unlocked Ratona's skill called Let me protect you!, which reflects magic for 4 turns on everyone except herself. Use this at the start of the battle and re-cast as needed. For Ratona herself, have the next person cast Nullify (void) on her. These should prevent damage from Alex's magic. Plus, the Reflect effect from Ratona's skill means you'll have a slight head start on his HP.

There. That's it.

I haven't seen anyone talk about / mention this strategy yet, so perhaps it was so obvious we all thought, "well, who wouldn't know this?"

Thanks for the tip but when I played it, I just beat the boss on easy mode with the double XP orb enabled.
