Not really determination, but thanks anyway. I've never put this kind of time into one of these games before. Here are the factors that kept me going:
1. Weather is keeping me inside.
2. This is only my 2nd game on the website, and I wanted to try to keep up with everybody.
3. I wanted to show my failures, so that less experienced players would see they have company, and perhaps be encouraged to carry on.

Yeah I was getting some vibes that you don't like the game. ( you even listed the story as bad in your review, not that I can complain, my main gripe is the story)

Well I just beat Fleon on Normal and was a bit disappointed. I had a quick try at lvl 119 and got battered, so I went off and statted my weapons properly, then came back at lvl 120 and beat him without healing and with only a couple of minimum fevers of 2-3 hits. Lowered his spd and def and used the Icicle Edge skill so was generally getting a couple of turns for each of his. None of my weapons were raised above +230 and a fair few of them were at +0 (although I had 2 +100% spirits on every weapon). Then used (S)Rouse to wake anyone sent to sleep by his skill without losing an attack.

Probably could have done it at the suggested level 100 if I'd bothered to stat properly, might have to try again if I ever replay. Now off to level up before trying the other bosses.

If I get round to it I may post a quick quide to easy statting etc, as there doesn't seem to be one here.

Yep, sounds about right. I beat him at 111 without huge weapon stats. Later, fighting Enna, I discovered (yes, should have figured it out earlier, but slow wits 'R US) that Aura Fill is a real boss killer. My guess is both Fleon and Yurius don't require ultra high levels to defeat. Enna, or Enah, on the other hand, will take some high levels.

Hi DJ,

Sorry to hear Fleon was a letdown, but I appreciate you sharing your strategy. I had meant to write up some stuff about the game for the walkthroughs section but I guess I got distracted and just never got around to it.

Please feel free to post as much as you want. (If you do write any kind of 'guide' for the forum, just put it in a new topic so it's easier to find.)

Even though I could have made a guide on stats, I hate this game with passion, so feel free to write a guide about stats so that other users can also see about it, and as said by MSG, create a new topic so its much easier to search for it, and if possible we will post about in the walkthrough section (with full credit to the author of course ).

Oh also welcome to the forums.

Thanks guys. The Fleon battle was extremely satisfying on the one hand, just disappointed as I had found the boss fights in this game much more engaging than other games. I played Machine Knight first and really enjoyed it - loved the retro feel to the game, took me back to my youth and Secret of Mana, mixed with the early FF games - but most of the bosses were one-hit wonders, whereas in this game some of the boss fights were pretty epic and actually contained an element of skill (if you haven't properly enhanced weapons/speed levelled in Fairy Garden).

The dialogue in this game can be quite funny, although not a patch on Machine Knight which had me laughing out loud at times, but I agree the story is pretty pants. The characters are pretty good though, especially in their interactions with each other, and there are many aspects to the game which I enjoy, such as the Fairy Garden which I think is a really good idea. Generally I rate these new Kemco quite highly, especially compared to the trash that most developers are producing these days, and they have the right approach to the freemium model from what I have seen.

I've started a guide so try to have it up later today. If you want to recommend any other simliar games I'm all ears! :)

I like the appearance of continuing characters in the games, as it is fun to see old favorites from prior games. However, I don't like it when, as was the case in Glorious Savior, warriors who helped you to victory are now foes to be battled. In Glorious Savior your great champion Fleon, from Revanant Dogma, is now an opponent. So here is my desired scenario to replace this situation.

Suppose in an arena/Fairy Garden type structure you come face to face with a tough monster, I'll call him XXX. I'll posit that if you level to max, you can, in a battle of attrition, beat XXX. But maybe you don't want to do all that grinding, and maybe it would be more entertaining to have some flexibility. He whips you say 2 or 3 times, and then a buddy from a prior game (I'll call him Fleon here) shows up (as part of the end of battle sequence when you just lost), calls out to you as an old friend, and asks if you want his help. If you say yes, he joins you in a 2 on 1 that is set to make it a fairly even battle, but with the possibility of some interesting strategy, depending on what skills Fleon has.

Of course this still leaves open the possibility to grind to max and challenge XXX if you like that sort of thing, and at the same time allows heroes from prior games to reappear and still be on your side.
