And with this, all I need to do is beat Band of Monsters (again) and post that game time and I think all games will be covered...'cept for that god awful Elio.

Finally beat it. I actually liked the true ending.
Story: Basically fantasy star wars. Nothing new here but if you've played the other Aphadia games, this one has a true ending worth watching.
Gameplay: Simple Exe-Create fare. You get a job system of 4 jobs to choose from. However, the 4 jobs are the basic Fighter, Mage, Priest, and Paladin jobs so nothing special.
You get the ability to use boost slots to make your attacks stronger. This leads to fast fights where everyone uses all 5 to attack or abuse burst damage. Combat is serviceable for the most part but the Ranking system is confusing. It seems to give you battle ranks at random and act as a deterrent against grinding since the battle rank actually affects how much XP you get from fights. It is possible to get 0 XP due to a D rank.
Overall, its simple and uninteresting combat.
The graphics look the same and the sounds are copied from other Exe-Create games.
If you like the Alphadia series, get this game. Otherwise, ignore this one or get an APK.

Not at all. Alphadia Genesis had the skills and energi elements which both ran off EP. AG2 just had energi that has no specific element but was tied to a job and skills used up boost slots instead of EP to buff your team instead of attack skills.
It also looks like you do not unlock any fusion energi that you could get in AG1.

This is the Nintendo Switch version.
Getting the Normal Ending with 20 sidequests complete and Arena complete through the first rank of King took about 26 hours. This was on Normal difficulty, with the encounter rate set to one-half and no metal slime grinding. The team's level was pretty low (around 51) and I used four +200 MND rings and one +200 VIT ring from the points shop to shore up their stats against the final boss.
Getting the True Ending on Normal Difficulty with all ranks of Arena complete took about 30 hours. The screenshot says 28 hours, but I learned about the special arena match after beating the game. The special arena match was very tough when the team was around level 60. The points shop rings made a huge difference. So did a big stack of full revive items purchased from the points shop.
Metal Slime grinding all the way to 99 with maxed out Hero class on everyone, dueling the 4 dragons, and defeating the optional superboss in East Lispern Woods took 33 hours. I turned the difficulty up to Hard for the superboss, and got a B grade.
