Get the Magic Element Gun (save your Dog Tags for this item @the Dog Tags Exchange) for your tank, get the Elementite Plating and the V8 Annihilation Engine (this was the main armor setup on my tank, just checked my Chrome Wolf save from right before I entered the final area of the game.) Also try to get the All Purpose Device to prevent your tank from getting bad statuses and the Magic Barrier accessory for the tank helps too
