Does Ghost Sync have a way to force encounters with each step? I checked the Shop and the Guild Shop and didn't find anything.
Most dungeons have an Attract Tube to adjust the encounter rate or start an immediate set of three battles, but that isn't quite the same and doesn't work on the world map.
Also, is there a way for Bernard to discard his current possessed enemy other than possessing another enemy, or allowing his current possessed enemy to be KO'd?
Currently, it seems as though putting Spirit Stones into Bernard's wolf-attack skills is a waste, because those skills become unavailable whenever Bernard is possessing an enemy. (Fortunately, it is possible reset Spirit Stones spent in skill trees, for a modest amount of gold.)

If you play the game on Steam, you can buy the "No Encounters" DLC for 2 bucks, which - despite its misleading name - lets you choose between five different encounter settings, ranging from no encounters to encounters with every step. I don't know if this DLC is available on platforms other than Steam, but it seems it's the only way to force encounters per step taken in this game.
Thanks for the quick answers. I avoid looking at the Game Length thread until I've personally finished the associated game, so I didn't see that comment.
I often buy things from the Shop with Shop currency earned in-game, but I don't like buying paid DLC powerups. I'll just manage with what the Ghost Sync base game has to offer.
Most of the time I can't be bothered to hunt down one of every rare enemy, let alone 50 rare enemies!
Another thing that seems to be missing is the ability to steal items (a 1% steal chance on early-game weapons doesn't count). Maybe late-game weapons can have a high % chance to steal?
In the meantime, I've been using the item that raises the enemy drop rate to 100% for 1 hour real time, in order to quickly finish quests that require monster drops. I've picked up three of the increase-drop-rate items from exploration so far, and more are sold by the Shop.
EDIT: I figured out how to make Bernard discard a possessed enemy. The trick is to go into the "Equip" menu (which doubles as a Status menu), select Bernard, and choose the "Beast" option to the right of Bernard's equipment. Select Hachi (the wolf) to make Bernard let go of his currently possessed enemy.
This has a high risk/reward tradeoff because Bernard won't have a possessed enemy to shield him against attacks at the start of the next battle. Bernard can't be revived from KO like the other characters can; he can only possess enemies or allied spirits. If the rest of the party falls while Bernard isn't possessing a spirit, it's Game Over.
