Signpost help???

Neeed to know how to activate the various signpost found throughout the game ive cleared all arenas from top to bottom though not sure if that helps (it did work with Alphadia Genesis though).. not sure if arenas beaten is a requirement for it any help is greatly appreciated

I was having trouble with this also. Just got it to work on mine. I don't know if there are prerequisites but to unlock the signs for battle you have to talk to Madame Curie in Forgotten Village in Reveria. I had to talk to her a few times because the first thing she was talking about was the quest she sends you on up North. After that she told me about the signs and then I was able to fight though. Hope that helps anybody else who stumbles upon this topic.
