Avoid Fortuna Magus, End of Aspiration and Grace of Letoile( Just leave it with grace ( the battle system will kill you. )). Avoid Aeon Avenger As well, you Wont be able to get into it.
Dark seven if you don't like short games.
Grinsia because of the clunky and laggy system it has.
Yeah, if the first Alphadia had a mini-map, it would have just been way too easy, but tolerable. But no mini-map combined with its high encounter rate made most dungeons near unbearable.
The crazy dungeons in Alphadia are the sole reason this site was ever created - I got so lost in that game that I had to get out graph paper and map every floor of every dungeon. And it was such a pain - but once I was done I thought, "I bet someone else would like these maps," and as they say, the rest is history.
P.S. I love Alphadia, even though it really is an awful game. I don't recommend it to other players though, without warning them beforehand that:
the image size is too large
the dungeons are very confusing and encounter rate is very high
most Boss battles are not challenging AT ALL
a lot of the dialogue is very poor
However, in spite of all that, the game and the story line remind me a lot of early 90s RPGs - so if someone can overlook all the faults in this game, it does have a strange charm to it.
