The Hero class makes the other classes obsolete. The only really good thing lost from the other classes (that I can think of) is the whole-party defense buff from the Knight class (which isn't earned until the class is at a very high rank). Instead, the Hero class gets a self-buff that is potentially very powerful at low HP. Even at high HP, this self-buff will remove and replace enemy debuffs.
Earning and maxing out the Hero class requires 1-2 hours of grinding metal slimes (turn off battle animations from the options menu to speed the grind up) and has the side effect of leveling the party to 99. At that point the party will drastically overpower almost everything in the game.
The ONLY enemy the party won't overpower at level 99 is the optional superboss in East Lispern Woods, who is designed to challenge a maxed-out party. Going for the Hero class is not worth the time spent grinding unless one wants to fight this superboss (who can be challenged repeatedly, if desired).
All the rest of the endgame enemies, including the True Ending final boss, all Arena battles, the four dragon duels , and various giant enemies seem to be intended for a level 70-ish party with the regular classes.
Unlike the first Alphadia Genesis, there are no Dragons or Giant Dragons on Metal Slime island. Sad. Giant Dragons do rarely show up anywhere with dragon random encounters, though.
In Alphadia Genesis 2, Metal Slime island has literally nothing but metal slimes, rare Giant Metal Slimes, and the occasional box. These boxes usually give a consumable or an EP Seed, and they're probably not worth the effort to destroy.
The weapons to kill metal slimes are easily obtained as one-time prizes for progressing through low-ranking Arena battles. There is no need for the upgraded metal slime-killing weapons, and no need to spend Arena coins to buy any metal slime-killing weapons (unless the player makes the mistake of selling the one-time prizes).
